Here’s a salute to all our men and women in uniform, and a fond embrace to all those who have sacrificed their lives for our country, our citizens and our freedom. My dad was a veteran of World War II and I keep his service photo pinned above my drawing table. Thank you sincerely to all who have served our nation!

Agreed. And one of my favorite memories from my time working in NYC was when my friend and I received an invitation (well ok, she did and I tagged along) to a party on a British Navy ship. Not only was it an experience, it was damn impressive—and every one of the Navy men, very gentlemanly—at least while we were on board.
Pat, thanks for a great cartoon and remembrance of those who have served. My dad was a captain in the air force and the photo we have of him in uniform is one of my favorites.
Thank you to all who have served our country. You are a blessing to all of us.
