People say things come in three’s—well, actually bad things come in three’s. So, let’s see, within a week or so, there’s been the flat tire on the way to an authors event, where I was so late, the event ended half-way through my reading. It was followed by the stove that quit working, the toilet that overflowed, the muddy yard from all the bad weather, which caused the poodles to track their mud over clean floors, carpets, laundry, furniture—several times. Immediately following was the dangling ‘sway rod’ from the car that had to be hauled by AAA (Bless their soul)and the cancellation/rescheduling of everything that couldn’t be done, fit in, due to the car issues…….Oh Calgon, take me away!!!!

Three broken windows in the house, two in the car, a garage door opener that has breathed its last, another car that starts when it chooses and only then, a leaky roof–none of which will look “pretty” when I’m done sinking money into having everything fixed!!!!
A place to bent. I like that.
Here are my three:
A note attached to my newspaper today states they have not received my payment and they will stop my delivery if I don’t send it immediately.
Now, how is it possible to be late when I’m signed for automatic withdrawal?
They have send me the paper today, the note continues as a proof of their goodwill. Which I appreciate, until I open the newspaper and realize the Week-end section, my favorite, is missing.
And as I leave the house, the garage door that was up when I entered the car (I swear) has come half way down and I bump into it.
Now the door hangs ungainly from the cables and I’m late not only on my newspaper payments.
I think you win the award for sainthood this week. We had our power out for over 24 hours, but nothing too bad came of it – in fact we had to have dinner out twice, so it was rather a good thing.
