So it’s snowing in Philly again.

It’s snowed in Philly almost every week of this mean, ugly and endless winter. Even if you’re a fan of snow, as are my snowboarding son, David, and daughter, Megan, you hate this winter. There’s absolutely nothing, and I mean, nothing, to like about it.

So I left.

That is, my husband, Dave and I, along with Megan, left, for sunnier and warmer climes. Last week, we flew to Florida, to visit middle daughter, Laura, who had the good sense to leave the north last April. She actually left for school, but the weather was a definite incentive and might just be the reason if she never comes home.

After spending this week with my girl, and recalling just what the sun looks and feels like, I could understand if she stays. The beach, clear, beautiful water, farmer’s markets with food that’s actually fresh and locally grown (I remember those, but only distantly), a pool and most important, a lounge chair by that pool. It’s been wonderful, rejuvenating and simply blissful.

I’ll probably come home, but, well, maybe not. Here’s a reminder of warmer weather–Sarasota Images!
