Bette MidlerThe Supremes, The Ronettes, and more recently, TLC. Who doesn’t love a great “girl group?”

Bette Midler does, for sure. And now, the Divine Miss M. has taken her love of the girl group sound and treated her fans to her take on classic girl group songs with a new album titled, It’s The Girls.

With numbers by the groups above, as well as classics by some of the original girl groups, like the Andrews Sisters, the fabulous Bette treats listeners to her delightful take on songs we all know–even when we don’t know we know them.

Take this test right now–sing the chorus of The Ronettes “Be My Baby,” including the background vocals. You did it, didn’t you?!

Classic, fun, fresh, as only the Divine Miss M. can be. And she is divine. I mean, the woman will be 69 in December. Sixty-nine! Check out that body. I’m guessing the wrinkle-free face has something to do with having work done, but given the way plastic surgery can ruin a face (Renee Zellwiger, anyone?), Miss M. looks fantastic.

Check out the trailer below and pick up a copy of It’s The Girls.  Just try and not sing along!
