Skinnygirl Cocktails at the Sandbar
By: Mary Fran Bontempo

I love a local Girls’ Night Out, even if I’m simply having a glass of wine at a neighbor’s home. But when I can escape to Key West via a twenty minute drive, indulge in 100 calorie cocktails, treat myself to a $10 dinner special along with other delicacies and peruse fashion and jewelry finds–sign me up!

On April 30th (a Monday night, no less–how fun is that?!), the Sandbar, at 90 South Main Street in New Hope, PA, lends a laid back Key West vibe to its own Girls Night Out. Look for the dinner special along with gourmet popcorn from local treat shop, Clusters, a Silpada jewelry display and other fashion and accessories offerings. But the big draw is the premier of the Skinnygirl Cocktails line at the company’s first demo event in Bucks County.

Skinnygirl Cocktails are the brainchild of Bethenny Frankel, a former “Real Housewife” of New York who also happens to be a renowned natural foods chef and best selling author. Frankel, no stranger to nightlife and the imbibing involved, decided to create a line of beverages that wouldn’t break the caloric bank and Skinnygirl was born. The line features a wine and vodka collection along with a white cranberry cosmo, a margarita and a sangria, all weighing in at around 100 calories, the perfect way to indulge guilt-free!

Back at The Sandbar, you’ll find a large, island-themed menu along with traditional burgers and sandwiches. Two years into new management, the restaurant has carved out a unique niche in New Hope, no small feat in a town that drips with unique.

Join NRFGP bloggers Chrysa Smith and Mary Fran Bontempo at The Sandbar on April 30th from 6 to 9 PM; we’d love to meet you! And if you’re not local, organize your own Girls’ Night Out–on a Monday. Can you think of a better way to start the week? Just be certain to make your fun guilt free by checking out Skinnygirl Cocktails. See all the details below:
